I'm pretty sure that we see him taping fliers up one morning, then going to the same places straight after (once it's dark), but I could be wrong too.

The ghost angle is an interesting one, but there's nothing else to hint at it, so I think that could just be a theory to explain away what I see as an ending that wasn't really thought out. He does it each morning as planning for the future, not for his lodgings that night. (I could be wrong about this, but I thought I noticed the contents of the flyers being different from morning to evening, meaning he wasn't returning to the same ones.)

I liked this movie, but didn't love it. I actually would have been content with a 90 minute movie of just the two of them in various apartments. The whole cop/jail angle didn't do much for me.

In regards to the lack of mirrors (SPOILER ALERT) - some people interpret the ending to mean that he has become a real ghost and only the wife can see him, hence the husband isn't stunningly imperceptive. I've never really decided on the ending.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7072729371563273515.post-31341667970242597462012-11-13T13:25:03.409+00:002012-11-13T13:25:03.409+00:00It's no surprise this film reminds you of Spri...It's no surprise this film reminds you of Spring, Summer, Autumn Winter and Spring, because they're both directed by Ki-duk Kim. Hadn't heard of it before but the cryptic comments about things like the drilled golf ball and lack of mirrors, combined with the mention of poetry and beauty, definitely have me interested :)

For reasons I can't put my finger on this review reminded me of a film I really enjoyed a long time ago but had pretty well forgotten called "Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring". I think I may have to add that to my lovefilm list.pikeamusnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7072729371563273515.post-86585064984446608872012-11-13T11:18:24.758+00:002012-11-13T11:18:24.758+00:00Thanks. I didn't mean to put people off the film (although clearly I didn't), as I understand that quite a few others seemed to enjoy it and took a lot out of it for me. There's just the occasions when I get really stuck on some parts of the plot, and they ruin the film for me. Hopefully you won't have this issue.JayCluitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16972011198109066985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7072729371563273515.post-49443698313799086202012-11-13T02:03:28.663+00:002012-11-13T02:03:28.663+00:00Clearly this wasn't your goal, but I am infini...Clearly this wasn't your goal, but I am infinitely intrigued by this movie.

And 88 minutes?
