When I referred to one of them becoming a murder mystery author, I was referring to the real woman. Juliet Hulme (Winslet's character) "came out" as author Anne Perry around the time this movie was being made.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7072729371563273515.post-77105978465485488792012-08-19T22:47:49.363+01:002012-08-19T22:47:49.363+01:00Hah, brilliant. The whole point (or what I thought was the point, it's been a while) of that film is that none of the guys left the river the same as they started. Taking out the rape means that nothing happened to Ned Beatty! Bloody censors. And yes, one of the girls becoming an author is great, as is the fact that she got a recurring role on Two and a Half Men.JayCluitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16972011198109066985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7072729371563273515.post-90937184526724006682012-08-17T03:25:20.463+01:002012-08-17T03:25:20.463+01:00My favorite fact from all of this is that one of t...My favorite fact from all of this is that one of the girls ended up becoming a best selling murder-mystery author under a pseudonym.

True Story: I saw Deliverance back in the 80s on cable TV. The next day I was discussing it with a co-worker and she said she couldn't take the rape scene. My response was "what rape scene?" I had no clue that I hadn't seen the whole movie. The station had apparently cut that scene out.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.com
